Centre Benhard Janse van Rensburg joined the Bears in June 2023. The former London Irish midfielder, who can operate at inside and outside centre and cover fly-half, made more than 50 appearances for the Exiles over two seasons, scoring 11 Premiership tries.

Janse van Rensburg played a key part in the Bears’ run of six wins out of seven at the end of the 2023/24 season and was named Premiership Player of the Month in April 2024. The centre continued his form into the following season, being involved in six tries in the second half of the 2024 calendar year.
