Bristol Bears Community Foundation is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated return of its flagship fundraising event, Break The Cycle, on Sunday, June 29th, 2025.
Now in its 15th year, Break The Cycle is the Foundation’s biggest annual fundraising event and offers cyclists the choice of three routes – Gold (100km), Silver (66km) and Bronze (33km) – starting and finishing at Ashton Gate Stadium.
Open to everyone from beginners to experienced riders, the event raises crucial funds to support us in delivering more life-changing programmes in our communities.
Riders are fully supported along the route with mechanical and medical support, as well as refreshments and lunch stops. The full event schedule, routes and sponsorship opportunities will be announced in due course but you can now register your interest for Break The Cycle 2025 here.

Bristol Bears Community Foundation CEO Jamie Skinner said: “Break The Cycle is our primary fundraising event and embodies the heart of what our Foundation stands for—bringing people together to create positive and lasting change in our communities.
“Whether you’re an avid cyclist, a complete beginner or someone looking to support our life-changing work in the city, Break The Cycle offers an opportunity to make a massive difference while having fun. We can’t wait to see everyone there!”
Through the power of sport, the Foundation aims to make a difference to every young and older person it works with, helping them to unlock their potential and contribute towards the club’s vision to ‘inspire the community through rugby success’.
The Foundation tackles inequality by delivering a broad range of programmes across the South West region, serving the community across four key areas: Education & Employability, Health & Wellbeing, Inclusion & Disability and Older People.
Break The Cycle gives participants of all ages and abilities an opportunity to come together in a shared commitment to breaking the cycle of poverty, inequality, and barriers to opportunity by supporting these impactful programmes.
