Olympic-bound GB Sevens star Jasmine Joyce-Butchers will make her return to the XVs game next season as she re-joins Bristol Bears for the 2024/25 campaign.

The 28-year-old, one of the most dangerous attacking players in both formats of the game, has won 38 caps for Wales in the XVs game and will join back up with Dave Ward’s squad following the conclusion of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris this summer.

The flying Joyce-Butchers can operate at full back and wing and adds further stardust to the Bears backline as they look to go one better in the Allianz PWR in 2024/25.

Head Coach, Dave Ward, said: “Jaz is one of world rugby’s most exciting players and we’re delighted to have her back in the Bears ranks next season.

“She showed in her last stint with the club just how dangerous she is, and her pace and X-factor ability fit perfectly with the Bears Way of playing. We wish her all the best for the Olympic Games in Paris and look forward to seeing her back in a Bears shirt when she returns.”

Joyce-Butchers said: “I’m so excited to be returning to the Bears squad next season and can’t wait to get stuck in after the Olympic Games in Paris this summer.

“This club means a lot to me and it’s a special squad – I believe we can go all the way next season and I’m looking forward to playing my part in helping us to achieve that dream.”
