About the Foundation
Bristol Bears Community Foundation is the club’s award-winning charity, delivering programmes that are proven to change the lives of people across the region.
The registered charity works with over 8,000 people from the local community each year and is regularly recognised for its work on a national scale, winning numerous Parliamentary Awards since 2008.
The Foundation delivers a broad range of programmes (16) across the South West, serving the community across four key areas: education, participation, health, and inclusion.
The charity works with participants as young as five-years-old to 104.
Through the power of sport, Bristol Bears Community Foundation aims to inspire every young and older person it works with, helping them to unlock their potential. The charity benefits tremendously from its well-established relationship with the club, with its staff and players providing a superb vehicle for club and community engagement, contributing to the club’s vision to ‘inspire the community through rugby success.’

The influence community coaches have on the people they work with is supported further by the fantastic role models on offer amongst the players and staff.
All community programmes lead to Ashton Gate Stadium as a means to celebrate and reward engagement, commitment, effort, and success. BBCF contributes significantly to matchday attendances and activation, supporting engagement from a broader fan base and the next generation of lifelong supporters.
BBCF demonstrates huge value for commercial partners who support our work, with evidence suggesting over 70% of individuals exposed to our community programmes feel more positively towards the companies involved.
