PREMIERSHIP RUGBY LGBTQ+ PRIDE ROUND

At Bristol Bears we are proud to support Premiership Rugby LGBTQ+ Pride Round to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and help tackle discrimination, taking place from 18th-20th April.

LGBTQ+ Pride Round is part of Premiership Rugby’s unwavering commitment to eliminate discrimination in rugby to foster an environment where everyone feels welcome, respected, and valued.

BEARS DEN Q&A WITH PLAYER AND BISONS

As part of the Pride Round activities, representatives from Bristol Bisons RFC – the South West’s first inclusive and queer friendly rugby team based in Bristol – and a Bears first team player will join Downsy for another live Q&A with supporters.

They will answer supporters’ questions in the Bears Den – our matchday Q&A stage located in the South Stand concourse – from approximately 2.15pm (subject to change).

We will also have a live DJ performance from Rach Kay next to the Bears Den stage before and after the Q&A session to get you in the party mood in the build-up to kick-off.

SENSORY SAFE SPACE

Bristol Bears Community Foundation helps make rugby accessible for neurodiverse fans with our Sensory Safe Space at Ashton Gate on Bristol Bears matchdays.

The Sensory Safe Space, which was first launched by the Foundation in 2023, enhances the matchday experience for neurodivergent fans and those with sensory sensitivities by providing a room away from the main action before, during and after the game.

It creates an inclusive environment for supporters who may find the typical matchday atmosphere overwhelming due to the loud noises, bright lights and large crowds.

Equipped with bean bags, low level lighting and sensory toys, the quiet and calming space allows our fans to enjoy the matchday atmosphere at their own pace.

For supporters who wish to request to use the Sensory Safe Space for future games where it is in operation, please contact KPassfield@bristolbearsrugby.com.
