Bristol Bears Community Foundation CEO Jamie Skinner says Community Day will showcase the club’s continued commitment to the Foundation and its work in the community.

We’ll be shining a spotlight on our award-winning Foundation with a bumper afternoon of demonstrations, activities and fundraising in Bear Country when Bears host Exeter Chiefs at Ashton Gate on Saturday, March 22nd (5.30pm KO).

The Foundation works with more than 5,000 people from as young as five to as old as 95 every year across Greater Bristol, with delivery organised into four key focus areas: Education & Skills, Health and Wellbeing, Inclusion and Community Rugby.

“Our Community Day is an opportunity to showcase and highlight the club’s commitment to its work in the community via the Foundation. It’s also an opportunity for us as a Foundation to raise the profile and advocacy of our work with Bears fans,” says Skinner.

“On the day we will have various activations and opportunities for fans to get involved, whether that be through our fundraising initiatives or some of the activations our fans will be providing on the day.

“The club has very generously committed to a £1 ticket donation on every ticket sold as part of every ticket sold as part of Community Day which is incredible and invaluable in terms of supporting our work and reaching those that need our support the most.

“Every pound that is raised will go back into our work and the projects which will be highlighted as part of Community Day and we thank the club for its continued commitment to its work in supporting us.”
